What do Georgia, Myanmar, Colombia, Enron, the Mortgage Crisis and Oil Prices all have in common?

Senator John McCain's long list of Lobbyists-that's what. How destructive are his merry band of lobbyists? Well let’s take a look at a handful of our favorites and the most recent to be elevated to the status of dangerous warmongering neo-con lobbyist that ecourages war-Randy Scheunemann.
McCain Campaign: "John-Don't Touch Anything, Don't Talk On the Phone, Just Stop Talking"
Sat Aug 09, 2008 at 07:57:11 PM PDT
I, as many on this great site, have scratched my head in amazement at the completely deranged campaign that Senator McCain has waged against Senator Obama for arguably the most powerful position in the world. I have felt that Senator McCain’s campaign is one of a group of misfits that enjoy creating as much drama for themselves as for Senator Obama. Apparently, I am right on the mark. McCain loves the "shoot-from-the-hip" style that contradicts the message that his campaign wants him to portray. This is why McCain does not speak for his campaign. His new campaign advisor, Steve Schmidt, has even limited his cell phone use and discussions with reporters he normally had regular discussions with.
According to the NYT, Senator McCain is "loose in style."
Voter Registration Volunteers Be Aware of Rules
Mon Jul 28, 2008 at 10:48:19 AM PDT
This diary ties into the earlier diary about purging voter rolls. ( Article that compelled me to call.) I am already an election judge, but I wanted to find out how I could assist with registering university students. I called my County Clerk's office for the information and he directed me to the NAACP, the League of Women's Voters, or a public radio station that is starting a voter registration drive.
Non-Violent Protester Glues Himself to British PM
Thu Jul 24, 2008 at 08:11:42 AM PDT
This story caught my eye and made me smile for the activists’ innovative way of protesting climate change. Dan Glass actually had the opportunity to catch Prime Minister Brown's ear and sleeve. Before shaking the Prime Ministers' hand, he squeezed super-glue into his hand.
New 527 Ad Calling Obama "Both Ways Barack"
Tue Jul 22, 2008 at 10:10:09 PM PDT
A new video ad, seen on MSNBC, has a bit of the old and a bit of the new "Swiftboat" style. It is from a 527 group called Let Freedom Ring. AOL has kindly displayed the ad with very little content or rebuttal. You will notice the similarities to attacks on Senator Kerry's campaign.

UPDATEX2: Night Before Senator Obama Leaves Condi Rice Bars Embassies from Aiding Travel
Mon Jul 21, 2008 at 10:41:54 AM PDT
I think this is one of those articles that proves how truly partisan this Administration is. Condi sent an message to the Embassies overseas stating they were not to assist Obama with his travel plans. She stated this was not an "official" visit. link Sorry forgot the link.
Edit: Thanks! This is my first time in the big leagues. You made my day.
The Email Lies Keep Pouring in About Obama
Sat Jul 19, 2008 at 08:49:20 AM PDT
I am not sure how I received this email or why. It could have been forwarded by my mother who lost her enlightened hippie status when she started listening to Rush Limbaugh in the 1980's. Anyway, it is a compilation of the greatest hit-jobs by the right wingers. I am wondering who Floyd Brown is?
I am wondering what the National Campaign Fund is? And if this is considered a 527? The address is only a few blocks from the White House, who could it be? Here is a Floyd Brown. Maybe this guy. Oh he's the one that made the Willie Horton ad. I think this is the one.

Hillary's RFK Comments are Voter Suppression of the Lowest Level
Fri May 23, 2008 at 11:19:52 PM PDT
Hillary Clinton made a complete ass of herself today. I have a slightly different take on the motives behind the statements. First, when you watch what she is saying in her apology, she is not saying it directly to Senator Obama, she is saying it to the Kennedy family. I found this to be very strange and made her original comments appear to be intentionally directed toward Obama. One thing that the Clintons are famous for is confusing the public. All throughout the Impeachment proceedings, Bill Clinton continued to have public support-why? Because he lied then he spun his mess into a circus and blamed everyone but himself until the very end. Hillary has avoided her scandalous relationships with some of the worst lobbyists on the planet-Why? Because Hillary feels lobbyists are people too. She has never formally apologized for her vote on Iraq-why? Because she feels that she was correct and she wanted to appear tough. Her wording about assassination was carefully crafted, designed to invoke a response within the public, and meant to cause fear.
Ballot Initiatives in Key States: Dirty GOP & McCain Tricks!!!
Fri May 09, 2008 at 08:02:18 PM PDT
Have you been wondering which tactic the Right-wingers are going to use is the fall? Remember all of the gay marriage bans used during the 2004 election? Well this year we are going to be subjected to attempts to ban abortion to draw in voters to the polls. If you thought the gay marriage issue was bad, wait until the Anti-Choice groups hit the streets during the run up to the election.
I wrote this on my personal blog and I see that I can post it here.
Tom Delay's Attorney Nominated to FEC to Help McCain
Thu May 08, 2008 at 07:18:29 AM PDT
I have decided that I do not want to talk about Clinton anymore. It is clear that this election is over and Obama has won. I am tired of the continued circular arguments and I want to start the focus on McCain. I found an interesting little article about the new appointee to the FEC Commission. He has a sorrid little past-including Tom Delay and our favorite-Jack Abramoff. Our two most favored criminals.
Free Weekly AOL Presidential Straw Poll
Tue Feb 26, 2008 at 03:17:37 PM PDT
I wanted to alert people to a weekly straw poll that AOL posts every week. I noticed as the campaign has rhetoric has been a little heated and the media is scrutinizing a little more, the numbers have shifted in this poll.

Just Received an Interesting Phone Call
Thu Aug 09, 2007 at 11:04:53 AM PDT
I just received an interesting phone call from "protect cigarette smokers"-I think that was the name of the group. She stated that she was calling on behave of cigarette smokers and wanted to make me aware of the tax increase legislation in Illinois. She then asked if I would be interested in contacting my local representatives to tell them no-and she would connect me to my representative. In the background I could hear several other voices chanting the same thing.
