Michelle Obama Is Officially, My Hero

No one , and I mean no one , knows what it is like to be an African American woman living in the United States of America in this new Millennium. There are some women of Color, who certainly have a pretty darn good idea, but to be an "African" American woman in this country and living in our current American society, no one will ever understand or know what it's like inside.

I just received this e-mail and wanted to share it and the video accompanying it with you.

.....Happy To Be DEAD WRONG with my expectations!

Here, I had emotionally prepared myself to receive the one and only candidate that I did not want . I don't know why I put myself through that. I guess it was some built in self protection sort of thing where I prepare for the worse and when it doesn't happen , I'm utterly delighted with whatever I get. I know I'm not the only person like that. Or , maybe I am.

I am most likely the biggest Anti-Hillary Progressive on the planet. I will not hide it. I will not try to deny it . I'm not even ashamed of it. I have no problem defending my position. However, as the VP announcement looms and the prospects of her being the one that Obama picked as his running mate becomes more possible than not, I have prepared myself to accept her on Barack Obama's ticket. Does that mean I will suck it up , grab my pom poms and start chanting "V.P. Hillary !" ?, uh, hell no.

I know I am not the only one who is feeling the same way I am when I express that I am a little burnt out over these VP speculation diaries because I have been reading the comments of fellow Kossacks who are expressing this same sentiment. But it's what I am NOT seeing in these diaries that really irk me.

I have yet to see one , and if I am wrong on this, I am hoping that someone will please post a link in the comments section because I really would like to read it, but I myself have yet to see one diary making the case for a VP candidate on the grounds that he or she would best be able to GOVERN in an Obama Administration or TAKE OVER , should , Lord forbid, something happen to him.

Since John Mc Cain keeps getting into trouble with artists who just don't want his campaign using their music , I have the perfect song for him. It fit's him perfectly. I can just see him greeting the small crowds after one if his giggly , spit sucking campaign speeches to the tune of this song. I really think the campaign should use it and I don't think the artist would mind it at all.

I'm sorry.

The more and more and more and more I see, the more and more and more I see. Barack Obama is toast. Never mind the fact that he just kicked John Mc Cains butt in fund raising and that for the very first time since 2004 , the Democrats out raised the Republicans, I lament to have to break this to you all. He's simply toast.

I'm going to disclose off the bat and upfront, that I am only a 33 year old African American and was never in attendance at any of the 1960's Marches and protests. So, I don't claim to be an expert on whether or not the preparations for the handling of protesters at the upcoming DNC Convention is appropriate or necessary. But I do have my own opinion that seems to be in contrast with some others in that I am not as outraged by the planning and preparation by the City of Denver as others are.

We all have our feelings about the latest devastating News regarding John Edwards. And many of us would be lying if we said we weren't secretly  paying attention to this story before Friday hoping for a different outcome. It was out there , and we were following it privately while openly ignoring it . This did not hit us by surprise.

However, despite Elizabeth Edwards call to leave this alone and despite the fact that we all , regardless of whom we supported in the Primaries, have a favorable view of the Edwards Family , we need to understand that many of his supporters may not be ready to just say, "Oh, okay. Well, that settles it. Moving on".

So, I was on the internet(s) looking at the DNCC's You Tube Channel at a segment titled: Why Are You A Democrat 08 ? and there was this one You Tuber that particularly stood out to me. I think it was because he spoke so very strongly and passionately making the case for Senator Barack Obama , the Democratic Party and the need for change in America.

I don't get it. I just don't get it. Why am I not allowed to be excited about voting  for the candidate I'm voting for? Why is it wrong to enthusiastically support the candidate I'm supporting ? When I say , I love Barack Obama , I'm not talking about the sexual crap.

As a matter of fact, I am not even physically attracted to him even though I'm Black. I know it's shocking and weird and all , but over the years , I just seem to have developed a preference for Europeans with dark hair and Latinos . In any event , I just wanted to point out that when I say I love Barack Obama , I'm talking about a different kind of love.

Are you satisfied with paying $100.00 a week to fill up your gas tank  ?

Are you complacent in the uncertainty of your future and that of your children?

Are you proud of the job our nations lobbyists and special interests are doing in Washington DC?

Do you enjoy playing Russian Roulette with your health by staying uninsured  ?

Do you enjoy walking past homeless Iraq and Afghanistan War Vets on the street ?

Do you enjoy choosing between filling a drug prescription and eating a decent meal ?

Are you happy with the way FEMA responds to natural disasters here in America ?

Are you happy with the poor Education your children are getting ?

Are you happy that your Social Security Benefits are at risk ?

My title is a bit misleading.

The attitude of not caring about getting Health Care Insurance when it's available and affordable, is what can kill us. Other than that, I think our generation is pretty much perfect. (ahem). But seriously, as Younger Americans , there seems to be a care free attitude and lack of urgency when it comes down to getting Heath Insurance , even when it's affordable and it could actually make us sick. I cannot tell you how many times , I have refused to sign up for affordable Health Care Benefits , because I felt it was a waste of money. All the pharmaceutical ads I was seeing on T.V. were clearly for older people , or men who could no longer function sexually, but really , really  wanted to again.

So, subconsciously, I internalized that to mean getting Health Care Insurance was something that I didn't need to worry about until I got old and that all I had to do in the meantime, was eat right , exercise and take some supplements to reduce my chances of actually having the drugs I see on these commercials, in my Medicine cabinet. Well, it doesn't work that way and that was foolish thinking on my part and many of my peers.

If anyone is worried about Obama Delegates Being Pressured to Change their Votes , let me assure you , the Obama Delegates are aware of what's going on and have been for a while now.

I and many others , have been monitoring the anti-Obama sites where these tactics were originated , discussed , planned , and executed. I and other Obama Rapid Responders , alerted all delegates via an e-mail list we had  obtained , that they would do this along with links.

They can keep sending the e-mails till Inauguration day for all we care. It will not work. The Obama Rapid Response Team got ahead of it while they were planning it by infiltrating their groups and alerting the targets before they even started receiving these messages.

So, John Mc Cain is running around trying to convince the American people that the Media is in love with Barack Obama  . I find that very interesting considering John Mc Cain is the one who has been getting the SPECIAL TREATMENT.

And even though John Mc Cain doesn't seem to remember things , the American people do. We remember the BBQ Picnic Partys that he had for the Press. We remember the shots of them swinging on swings , wrestling in the leaves , chowing down on BBQ .

SINCE WE WANT TO KEEP TALKING ABOUT IT !

Some of you can already tell what this one is about just by the title. But just in case; I am talking about the Barry Bl(SH)itt(T) cartoon of Barack and Michelle Obama and while this "Well Meaning" Liberal and his "Money Hungry" boss , spent all day yesterday explaining it away, they missed the point as do many others just like him who think they can scream "But I'm a LIBERAL!" to defend themselves against outcry when they do something stone cold stupid and racist like the cover of the New Yorker. I get the joke. I'm not pissed off because I don't "Get It". I'm not pissed off because I don't know what "Satire" is. I know what "Satire" is. But I'm STILL pissed off.

Re: Jessie Jackson "foot in mouth" episode.

There is a problem within the Black Community as it pertains to the epidemic of Black men who are using this nations horrible history as an excuse to not take responsibility for their families , communities and their country. It is TRUE. It is a fact !. And every time anyone attempts to address the Black men in this country, they throw a fit. Black women try to address it and we are accused of "keeping a brutha down". Whites try to address it and they are accused of being racist. Black men , who are responsible , try to address it and they are attacked as well. As was Obama by Jessie Jackson.

Pundits have nothing new and of interest to talk about with regards to the 2008 Election , so they are stuck reporting basically nothing and trying their hardest to look and sound like they are excited. Those disappointed in the outcome of the Democratic Primaries are still pulling out that left over Beef Stroganoff (sp) casserole , combing for little bits of meat while ignoring the overwhelming smell of mold in their argument. Republican activists , realizing that for the first time in 6 years , they failed to successfully politicize the Fourth of July to their advantage, are now strategizing to politicize the anniversary of 911. Democratic activists do what they always do when they get bored in a General Election; seek to fine tune their party's candidate , analyzing him with a magnifying glass and going over the party's talking point positions, with a fine toothed comb in preparation for the Fall.
